Christmas has gone and a new year has come. 2017 holds some very exciting things for ALOH! We just concluded our first fundraiser of the year, the Freezer Meal sale. It was very successful and we are so grateful for everyone who purchased meals, spread the word and for those who helped cook and prep the meals. We have more fundraisers coming up, including a worship concert and a massive garage sale. More information about those are under the Events tab on the website.
Marcie leaves for Haiti next week. She will be meeting with ministry partners, pastors from churches where they’d like to implement women’s bible study and many others. It will be a very busy trip. She will also be kicking off the Goat Program, purchasing goats from the market to take to families in Mt. Kapyat. You can find out more about our goat program by clicking on the Projects tab.
Our next trip will be for our board members. They will get to see, for the first time, the area and people that ALOH serves. This will truly be an impactful trip.
In reflecting about how God has brought us to this place, we stand amazed at how his hand has guided us every step of the way. A Light of Hope sprung up from the seed God planted in Marcie’s heart. She obediently followed his leading. God pieced together our Board and our entire team and he has paved the way for the partnerships and connections that are blossoming in Haiti.
Now as we look to the future, we are fully trusting that he will continue to guide us.
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” Psalm 143:8
This is our prayer.
